Again india made a history.After intel of United States,ARM of United Kingdom there is third one SHAKTI made in India.
Shakti made by RISE group of IIT Madras in RISC-V architecture.Firstly shakti made in 3 different classes E,C and I.First E class is for embeded systems class C for mobile processors(1.5Gz to 1.8Gz)and class I is for performence oriented computers ,pc processors (2Gz to 2.5Gz). They are trying to develop the C class what will be well performed in computers and specially want to develop I class for super computer uses like PARAM.They already made 2 C class SHAKTI. One is fabricated by INTEL (22nm RICECREEK)and the other Made in Chandigarh (RIMO 180nm).Mainly SHAKTI is based on HARVARD architecture which isolates shakti from ARM and INTEL.
Till now it will be used in closed source architecture was said by the developers.
SHAKTI is a biggest invention by home made technologies.If it will developed in that level then it can change the whole marketing level of cheapset gadgets in india.
ISRO and DRDO also wants SHAKTI in there NAVIC program and many new upcomming technologies.
